Issue

Issue:
On certain motorcycles, the return spring inside the front brake master cylinder is not strong enough. As a result, the brake piston may not return to its original position when you release the brake lever. If this happens, the brake lever may move a long distance before the brakes apply and there could be reduced braking.

Safety Risk:
Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
KTM will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the front brake master cylinder piston return spring.
