Issue

The label for the affected product has incorrect cannabinoid values. The labels show that the THC is lower than the actual value.

Without knowing the accurate THC level in the product, it could be difficult to make informed decisions regarding your cannabis use. This may lead to over-intoxication and temporary adverse health consequences associated with THC overdose, which could include:

  • confusion
  • disorganized thinking
  • physical and mental impairment
  • anxiety
  • fear or panic
  • decreased blood pressure
  • elevated heart rate

In remote cases, depending on the individual and the dose of THC consumed, THC overdose can also result in psychotic episodes characterized by paranoia, delusion or hallucinations. These effects could in some cases lead to an emergency department visit or hospitalization.

  • Contact the store where you bought the products if you wish to return it.
  • Report any health or safety complaints you have about these or other cannabis products by filling out the Cannabis Reporting Form online.

Background

The recall was initiated after CannaPiece Corp. received a complaint about the product.

2040 units of the recalled products were sold from April 30, 2026 to May 13, 2026 through authorized retailers in Ontario.

To date, CannaPiece Corp. has received 1 complaint about the recalled lot. Health Canada has not received any complaints. Neither CannaPiece Corp. nor Health Canada have received any adverse reaction reports about the recalled lot.
