What to do

Immediately stop using the recalled products and contact Apara–Transiplast to have the product corrected.

Affected products

This recall involves various custom-made roller blind type corded window coverings manufactured by Apara–Transiplast Inc. They are available in custom sizes and a range of colours. The style names are Samara, Toreno, Rive, Perla, and Lamini. The products were offered with a continuous chain operating mechanism or, depending on the configuration, with a motorized mechanism.

Issue

Health Canada has determined that the recalled blinds do not meet the Corded Window Coverings Regulations and pose a choking hazard for young children. The products have small parts (end cap of lower rail) that can easily detach.

As of February 17, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
