This recall involves the Elektron BP-1 Power Handles, which serves as an accessory portable power source for Elektron music synthesizers and music effects devices. In some cases a short-circuit may occur in the power cord that can cause overheating and a smell of burning plastic that may result in fire and burn hazards.
Issue
The wiring within the power cord can short-circuit and cause it to overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.
As of August 3, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received one report of incident with no reports of injuries.
