Issue
The affected products do not meet certain contaminant limits for aflatoxins. Aflatoxins are a group of toxic compounds produced by certain fungi (molds). Consumption of products contaminated with aflatoxins can pose serious health risks, including liver damage and an increased risk of cancer.

Background
The recall was initiated following Health Canada sampling and testing of various edible cannabis products from retail stores. Samples were collected and subsequent analyses and information collected revealed issues with the affected products.
10491 units of Cannabis Cartel QUADS Dubai Inspired Chocolate were sold from October 8, 2025 to February 11, 2026, through authorized retailers in Ontario.
To date, Galaxie Brands Corporation and Health Canada have not received any complaints or adverse reaction reports about the recalled lots.
