Health Canada warns that AIKSSOO Brand Baby Gates may pose a Choking Hazard

This alert involves the AIKSSOO brand 36.22 inch (92 centimeters) extra tall pressure mounted walk-through baby gate for children aged 6-36 months (Black). The affected product was sold by AIKSIWAI on Amazon.ca and can be identified by the Amazon Standard identification Number (ASIN) B09Z2KQCQV.
Issue
Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the AIKSSOO brand baby gate does not meet Canada’s Expansion Gates and Expandable Enclosures Regulations. The top end cap of the extender piece can detach, releasing a small part that may pose a choking hazard to young children.
What you should do
Consumers who have this baby gate should immediately stop using it, and safely dispose of the gate in such a way that it cannot be used again.
Regularly check the Healthy Canadians Recalls and Safety Alerts database for dangerous products and take action to remove items of concern.
Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of these products or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.

What is being done
The product has been removed from sale online from the website Amazon.ca. Health Canada has contacted the foreign selling company and is advising Canadians to immediately stop using the affected baby gates.
To date, no incidents or injuries related to this product have been reported to Health Canada.
Amazon reported that 223 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.
The affected products were sold from July 17, 2022 to February 19, 2023.
