Health Canada warns that Angelbliss Baby Bassinet Bedside Crib previously available on Amazon.ca may pose a risk of entrapment and suffocation
Brand(s)
Summary
Immediately stop using the affected product and safely dispose of the item in such a way that it cannot be used again.
Affected products
This alert involves the Angelbliss Baby Bassinet Bedside Crib with Storage Basket and Wheels, Easy Folding Bed Side Sleeper Adjustable Height Portable Crib for Newborn sold by Liuzihao on Amazon.ca.
A bedside sleeper generally has three closed sides and one open side. It may also have four sides with one that can be lowered so an opening is created above the mattress support. The open side is meant to be placed next to an adult bed, often with the bed-side sleeper physically attached to the adult bed with the use of ties or cords.
Issue
Health Canada has determined that the bedside sleeper does not meet the Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations in Canada. Specifically, the product’s sleep surface provides an incline angle greater than 7 degrees, posing a risk of entrapment and suffocation to the child.
