Product description

This recall involves various HEMNES Bookcases & Glass cabinet models available in multiple colors sold to April 2017. The affected bookcases & glass cabinets will have a marking on the product with the company name "IKEA" and manufacturing date before 1713. 

Hazard identified

The shelves within the recalled bookcases & glass cabinet may fall as some of the provided shelf supports may not be long enough, posing an injury hazard.

As of May 27th, 2019, the company has received 2 reports of falling shelves in Canada, and 2 reports of minor injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 66,700 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from April 2010 to April 2017.
