Product description
This recall involves candles which spontaneously re-ignite after being blown out. These candles are identified by the brand name Crave and UPC 637118111238. The candles are sold in a package of 12 and include one of the two phrases:
- "Blow them out and watch them Re-lite" / "soufflé et surveille les re-lite" or
- "Relight / Rallumez"
Hazard identified
Candles which can spontaneously re-ignite are prohibited in Canada by the Candles Regulations under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act as they can re-ignite after disposal, potentially causing fires.
As of August 23, 2018 the company has received 1 report of spontaneous re-ignition in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

Approximately 6,957 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold at various Loblaw banner stores from February 2018 to August 2018.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and discard or return the product to any Loblaw banner store for a full refund.
