This recall involves the product Metaflux 70-81 Titanium Spray in aerosol, a high performance colloidal metal lubricant with Titanium for use in extreme conditions. The product was sold in a 400 mL pink and grey aerosol container identified with code 70-81 and UPC: 8 26756 07081 0.
Issue
Health Canada's sampling and assessment program has determined that this product does not meet the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 (CCCR, 2001) in Canada. Specifically, testing showed that the product was "very flammable". The manufacture, import, advertisement or sale of a highly flammable product is prohibited under the CCCR, 2001.
The highly flammable nature of the product could result in unintentional exposure to the product and lead to serious illness, injury or death.
As of September 13, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
