Affected products
This recall involves a batch of Nûby IcyBiteTM Keys teethers. The recalled teethers can be identified by item number 530455, UPC 067988 53045 5, and embossed lot number ED04Z, which are printed on the back of the packaging. The lot number is also located on the ring of the teething toy.
Issue
Under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act, teether fillings must not contain any living microorganisms. Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the liquid filling is contaminated with the bacteria Fictibactillius arsenicus and Metabacillus idriensis. These bacteria are usually harmless, but may cause an infection in children if the teether is punctured and the liquid filling is ingested.
As of January 21, 2026, the company has received no report(s) of incidents or injuries in Canada.
