Rexall and Pro-Line chemical products recalled due to lack of child-resistant packaging
Summary
Immediately stop using the recalled products and return them to the retail location where they were purchased for replacement.
Affected products
This recall involves certain lots of Rexall Methyl Hydrate / Methanol, Pro-Line Methyl Hydrate, Pro-Line Lacquer Thinner, and Pro-Line Paint Thinner products. The Lot Number is located on the product container above the main display panel of the product label.

Issue
The recalled products do not meet the child-resistant packaging requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.
The lack of child-resistant packaging could result in unintended exposure to the products and lead to serious illness or injury.
As of March 30, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return them to the retail location where they were purchased for replacement.
