Issue

On certain sedan models, a defect in the electronic stability control (ESC) yaw sensor could cause cause the ESC light in the instrument panel to illuminate as well as cause unwarranted activation of the stability control system. This could result in reduced engine power and brake application on one or more wheels, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will verify proper operation of the yaw sensor and update vehicle software.
