Transport Canada Recall - 2018173 - HYUNDAI

Update – February 5, 2020: This parts recovery program has ended.

Hyundai Auto Canada is conducting a parts recovery campaign targeting 2009 Elantra vehicles built between January 20 and March 16, 2009. Owners of subject vehicles will be notified by mail and the driver frontal airbag module will be replaced at no charge. The parts are being recovered to aid analysis by Hyundai and Transport Canada in support of Transport Canada defect investigation 3280-38-10.

Note: No safety defect has been identified with these vehicles and this action is not being conducted under the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
