Issue
On certain vehicles, there may be inadequate clearance between the battery power cable and a battery hold down bracket when the battery tray is pulled out for service. This reduced clearance may cause the cable to rub/chafe against the bracket, potentially damaging the cable and leading to arcing, which could increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks North America authorized service facilities will inspect the power cable and reroute it for proper clearance as necessary.
