Issue

Issue:
Certain vehicles were built with the wrong type of glass in one or both of the rear-quarter windows. Tempered glass was used in place of laminated glass. As a result, the vehicles may not meet the ejection mitigation requirements of the Canadian regulations.

Safety Risk:
Vehicles built with incorrect side window glass could create an additional risk of injury in a rollover or side impact crash.

Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the tempered window glass with laminated glass. For long wheelbase vehicles, the left rear-quarter window will be replaced. For short wheelbase vehicles, both the left and right rear-quarter windows will be replaced.
