Issue

Issue:
On certain motorcycles, the rear tail/running lights are too bright. This might make it difficult for a following driver to tell when the brake lights turn on. Canadian regulations specify a maximum brightness for tail and running lights.

Safety Risk:
If a following driver does not recognize that a vehicle ahead is slowing, there could be an increased risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the engine control module to reduce the rear tail/running light brightness.
