Issue

Issue:
Certain trucks were built without a secondary brake relay valve. As a result, the brake application may be delayed after pushing on the brake pedal. This could cause increased stopping distances.

Safety Risk:
Delayed brake application can cause increased stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a Kenworth dealer to inspect the brake system, and add a second R12 brake relay valve, as required.
