Issue

Issue:
On certain vehicles with factory-installed winter tires, the wheels may have been installed on the wrong side of the vehicle. As a result, the directional tires may be installed facing the wrong direction.

Safety Risk:
A directional tire that is installed incorrectly may have reduced driving performance and traction. Additionally, the tire’s grip on wet roads or in snow may be affected. This could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the running direction of the tires. If the tires are facing the wrong direction, they will be reinstalled correctly. The affected tires will be replaced if the tread wear is uneven.
