Issue

Issue:
On certain motorcycles, the engine output shaft bearing may have received inadequate lubrication during assembly. This could cause the bearing to fail at very low mileage. If this happens, the engine could lose power or seize suddenly.

Safety Risk:
An engine that loses power or seizes could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
If your motorcycle has travelled 80 km or less, you should stop riding it immediately. Polaris/Indian Motorcycles will send a letter to all owners and advise you what to do next if your motorcycle's mileage is below 80 km. If required, Polaris will assist you with transporting it to the nearest dealer, where the output shaft bearing will be inspected and, if needed, lubricated. If the bearing is damaged, it will be replaced.
