Issue:
On certain buses, the passenger seat belts may not extend from the retracted position. If this happens, the seat belts cannot be used.
Safety Risk:
A passenger that does not wear their seat belt has an increased risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Motor Coach Industries (MCI) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to inspect the seat belts. MCI will advise owners and operators to inspect and replace any seat belt that does not extend properly.
