Issue

Issue:
On certain vehicles, the instrument panel may not have the correct split lines for the passenger airbag. As a result, the passenger airbag may not inflate properly in a crash. It could also cause small plastic parts to be projected inside the vehicle.

Safety Risk:
An airbag that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash.

Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer for an inspection. The serial number of the instrument panel will be checked, and the dealer will replace it, if necessary.
