Issue

Issue:
On certain trucks, the wrong bolts were used to attach the bracket for the steering assist cylinder. As a result, the bolts may loosen and the bracket could bend or break. If this happens, the steering could lock-up.

Safety Risk:
A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
PACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to install the correct bolts for the steering assist cylinder bracket. Dealers will also replace any components damaged by an improperly secured bracket.
