Issue

Issue:
On certain motorhomes, the secondary alternator belt may not be properly aligned. As a result, the alternator belt could wear out and fall off the pulley. This can also cause the engine serpentine belt to fall off its pulley. If this happens, there would be a sudden loss of power steering assist.

Safety Risk:
A loss of power steering assist may result in a sudden increase in steering effort, especially at low speeds. This could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Winnebago will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to inspect the alignment of the secondary alternator belt and correct it, if necessary.
