Transport Canada Recall - 2020455 - ALTEC INDUSTRIES

Issue:
On a small number of vehicles, the engine is programmed with an idle speed that is too low. During use of the aerial device, there is the potential for a sudden increase in engine speed. If this happens, the aerial device could move suddenly.
Note: This problem only affects vehicles built on an International N9/N10 chassis.

Safety Risk:
Sudden movement of the aerial device may result in injury to the operator and people nearby.

Corrective Action:
Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and provide instructions for contacting the company. Altec Service will install a software update to reprogram the low idle speed to 850 rpm.
