Issue
Issue:
On certain trucks, the fittings for the air brake lines on the firewall pass-through plate may have been damaged during assembly. As a result, an air line could detach from the fitting. If this happens, the parking brake could apply without warning.
Note: The service brakes are not affected by this problem.
Safety Risk:
A parking brake that applies suddenly while driving could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the fittings on the pass-through plate. They will be repaired or replaced, as required.
