Issue:
On certain fifth-wheel RV trailers, the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) listed on the compliance label is too high for the weight rating of the pin box. As a result, the pin box could be overloaded and fail.
Safety Risk:
A pin box that fails could cause a trailer to detach from the tow vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action:
Forest River will mail a new compliance label to each owner. If you would like help to install it, you can contact a Forest River dealer to have it installed free of charge.
