Issue

Issue:
On a small number of AMG GLC 43 models, the seat belt for the middle rear seat may not have an automatic locking retractor (ALR). As a result, the seat belt doesn't lock to secure a child seat.

Safety Risk:
Securing a child seat with a seat belt that isn't locked could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the middle rear seat belt. It will be replaced, if necessary.
