Issue

Issue:
On a small number of street sweeper vehicles, the mounting bolts for the sweeper fan assembly may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the fan assembly could become loose and separate from the vehicle.

Safety Risk:
A fan assembly that detaches from the vehicle could create a hazard for other drivers and people nearby, and increase the risk of a crash or injury.

Corrective Actions:
Elgin Sweeper will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the mounting bolts for the fan assembly. Elgin Sweeper will also provide you with instructions for how to check for loose or missing fan housing bolts immediately. Do not operate your sweeper if these bolts are loose or missing.
