Issue

Issue:
On certain vehicles, the 12 V battery (in the trunk) could move in a crash. As a result, the battery electrical connexions could detach. If this happens, the post-crash safety systems (like the emergency calling (eCall) system, electric seat adjustment, hazard warning lights, and automatic door unlocking) may not work.

Safety Risk:
Safety systems that don't work correctly could increase the risk of injury.

Corrective Actions:
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to add a bracket to better secure the battery.
