Issue

This recall was replaced by Transport Canada Recall No. 2023-295. Issue: On certain vehicles, the high-voltage battery could overheat when it is fully charged. As a result, the battery could create smoke or heat, which can melt or damage the battery and nearby parts. Safety Risk: A battery that overheats can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Polestar will notify owners in writing and send a wireless over-the-air update to each vehicle to lower the battery charging limit until the final repair is available. Polestar will send you a second recall notice to advise you when a replacement battery is available for your vehicle.
