Issue
Issue:
On certain street sweeper vehicles, the oil suction tube for the hydrostatic pump could be damaged by contact with the steel braided air supply line. If this happens, the pump could fail and cause a loss of power to the wheels.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles built on a Peterbilt 220 chassis.
Safety Risk:
A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Fontaine Modification will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to an Elgin Sweeper Company dealership to re-route the steel braided line. The suction tube will be inspected for damage and replaced, if necessary.
