Issue
Issue: On certain fire trucks, the hinge peg for the basket handrail on the aerial platform could break. If this happens, the basket handrail could detach from the platform. Safety Risk: A handrail that detaches from an aerial platform could create a risk of injury for a person on the platform or people nearby. Corrective Actions: Pierce will notify owners by mail and advise you to schedule an appointment with a Pierce dealer to install a new basket handrail hinge peg at no charge.
