Issue

On certain vehicles, a problem with the brake light switch could cause the brake lamps to stay on after you release the brakes.

Safety risk

Brake lamps that stay on when the vehicle isn't braking could cause confusion for other drivers and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective actions

BRP will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to add a spring to the brake light switch. On certain models, the dealer will also replace and/or adjust the brake light switch.
