Issue

Issue:
On certain vehicles, the windshield wiper motor may stop working when snow and/or ice builds up on the windshield.
Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada Recall No. 2022-465. Vehicles that were already repaired under Hyundai recall campaign R0222 don't require this repair.

Safety Risk:
Windshield wipers that don't work properly could affect a driver's visibility. This could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the driver's windshield wiper arm. Hyundai advises that if the wipers stop working, you should clear any buildup of snow or ice before restarting the wipers.
