Issue
Issue:
On certain RV trailers, the cargo-carrying capacity was not calculated with the freshwater tanks full. As a result, the trailer is labelled with the wrong cargo-carrying capacity. This could lead you to overload the trailer, which could cause poor handling or a tire failure.
Safety Risk:
Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to install corrected cargo-carrying capacity labels. You can contact Grand Design RV directly if you would prefer to have them send you the label, and apply it yourself.
