Issue
Issue:
On certain RV trailers, an unused wire for a rooftop air conditioner could separate from its connector. If this happens, the wire could touch the outside of the trailer and energize it.
Note: This recall only affects RV trailers that don't have a rooftop-mounted air conditioner.
Safety Risk:
A trailer body that is energized (has power flowing through it) could create the risk of a shock or electrocution. It could also create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
Airstream will notify owners by mail and advise you to bring your RV trailer to a dealership to remove the air conditioner prep wire from the circuit breaker and power converter.
