Issue

Issue:
On one vehicle, connections within the high-voltage battery pack may be out of position or may not have been properly welded. As a result, the vehicle may enter a reduced power mode or this could cause a loss of power to the wheels.
Note: This problem could cause a battery warning light and "Service High Voltage System" message to display in the instrument panel. A "Charging Disabled" or "Vehicle Will Not Restart" message may also display.

Safety Risk:
A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
General Motors will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to replace the high-voltage battery pack.
