Issue
Issue:
On certain fire trucks, moisture could enter a connector for the aerial platform wiring harness. As a result, the connector could corrode over time. If this happens, the self-leveling function of the platform may not work properly.
Safety Risk:
An aerial platform that is not level could create a risk of an injury for a person on the platform or people nearby.
Corrective Actions:
Pierce will notify owners by mail and advise you to schedule an appointment with a Pierce dealer to replace the connector with a sealed wiring harness. Pierce recommends you should stop using the aerial device until the recall repairs are completed.
