Issue
Issue:
On certain vehicles, the daytime running lamps (DRLs) may not turn on if the multi-function switch is in the "PARKING" position. As a result, the vehicles may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations.
Safety Risk:
DRLs that don't turn on could reduce visibility and make the vehicle less visible to others. These issues could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Rivian will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to each vehicle. If you need assistance with this update, you should contact Rivian customer care or a Rivian service center. To reduce the safety risk, Rivian recommends using the "AUTO" lighting mode until the recall repairs have been completed.
