Issue

Issue:
On one truck, the park valve module (PVM) may not have been manufactured properly and could leak. If this happens, the truck could roll away when it's parked, even if the parking brake is applied. This problem could also cause the parking brake to apply suddenly while driving.

Safety Risk:
A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash. Additionally, a parking brake that self-applies while driving could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take their truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the PVM.
