Issue

Issue:
On certain motorcycles, the recall repairs completed by a Suzuki dealer during recall 2174 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-088) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair is required.

On certain motorcycles, a problem with the front brake master cylinder could cause the brake lever to move an increased distance before the brakes apply. If this happens, there could be reduced braking.
Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2023-088.

Safety Risk:
Reduced braking can cause an extended stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Suzuki will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the front brake master cylinder.
