Issue
This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2025-513.
Issue:
This recall is for engine coolant level sensors installed on certain transit buses or sold as a replacement part.
On certain transit buses, the engine coolant level sensor may be defective and could falsely detect a low level of coolant. If this happens, the engine could shut down and cause a loss of power to the wheels.
Safety Risk:
A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A bus that is disabled could result in a transfer of passengers in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, replace the engine coolant level sensor.
