Issue

Issue:
On certain electric motorcycles, the anchor(s) for the battery terminal(s) may not have been installed during production. As a result, the terminal(s) could move and cause the batteries to disconnect. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the rear wheel.

Safety Risk:
A sudden loss of power to the wheel could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
To reduce the safety risk, Kawasaki advises not to ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs are completed. Kawasaki will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect the battery terminal(s). If an anchor is missing, the battery will be replaced.
