Issue

Issue:
On certain motorcycles, the clutch lever could break. If this happens, the clutch may not disengage when the clutch lever is pulled in. As a result, the motorcycle could move forward from a stop. It could also cause the motorcycle to move suddenly if you start it and the transmission isn't in neutral (N).

Safety Risk:
A clutch that doesn't disengage could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. A motorcycle that moves suddenly when you try to start or stop it can create a risk of injury.

Corrective Actions:
To reduce the safety risk, Kawasaki advises not to ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs are completed. Kawasaki will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the clutch release shaft.
