Issue:
On certain trucks, the bolt used to attach the lower steering shaft to the steering gear may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the connection could loosen and cause a loss of steering control.

Safety Risk:
A loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the lower steering shaft bolt.
