Issue

Issue: On certain trucks, the recall repairs completed by a Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) dealer during recall F1020 (Transport Canada recall no. 2025-269) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain trucks, the stud on the frame that connects the battery and/or auxiliary power distribution to the starter may not have been installed properly. As a result, there could be a short circuit, and the wiring could overheat and melt. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2025-269. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: A short circuit and/or wiring that overheats and melts can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
