Issue
Issue:
On certain motorcycles, the handlebar lock screw may not have been installed properly. As a result, the screw could loosen and fall between the frame and the steering stem. If this happens, the screw could interfere with the steering and cause a loss of steering control.
Safety Risk:
A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the handlebar lock screw and apply a thread-locking compound.
