Issue

Issue: On certain motorcycles and trikes (three-wheeled motorcycles), the airbox backplate breather port may be blocked. As a result, pressure could build inside the engine crankcase. If this happens, hot oil could be ejected from the fill spout when the dipstick is removed. Safety Risk: An oil leak could create the risk of a burn injury. Corrective Action: Harley-Davidson will notify owners by mail and advise you to bring your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, correct the breather port opening.
