Issue
On certain vehicles, the engine may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, metal debris could cause the crankshaft bearings to fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough or may not start. This could also cause the engine to stall while driving. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 3.4L twin-turbo engine. This recall replaces Transport Canada recall No. 2025-614.
Safety risk
A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the No. 1 main bearing for abnormal wear and, if necessary, replace the engine.
